AGBALẽ - Room fiber basket, naturally tinted, handmade
Product description:
Agbalẽ means “basket” in Ewe.
This one is handwoven from palmyra fibers, a West African palm tree known for its strength and natural beauty.
Each piece is unique, punctuated with colors obtained by natural dyes, made from plant or earth pigments.
Its round handles, half-moon shape and hand-woven details make it both functional and artistic.
Agbalẽ can accompany you every day as a spare basket, market bag, or simply enhance an interior with its soft and strong presence.
The story of Agbalẽ :
In Togo, the basket is a daily companion.
It accompanies harvests, markets, moments of life.
But Agbalẽ is also a work of art.
Woven from palmyra fibers, partially hand-dyed with natural pigments, it bears the imprint of a slow gesture, a connection to the earth, and the rhythm of the hand.
Each basket is different, shaped according to the inspiration of the artisan who creates it.
Its apparent simplicity hides deep know-how, patience, and vision.
Agbalẽ is not just a container.
It's a way of connecting things together.
With calm, beauty and intention.
