Handmade in Lomé by local artisans, this colorful wax print tote bag is inspired by Togo's "surprise tote bags." These bags fold up and slip into your pocket, ready to accompany you every day.
Lightweight, durable, and generous, Akɔ is designed to follow your steps in style. A front pocket to keep essentials close at hand, a wide and comfortable handle, and a practical and cheerful fold-out format.
Each piece is unique, carefully sewn in a vibrant wax fabric, a tribute to roots and the right gesture, like the entire Dzɔƒe capsule.
The story of Akɔ
In Togo, they are called “surprise tote bags”.
We fold them up, slide them into a corner... and when the time comes, they unfold to hold everything: the morning market, unexpected shopping, everyday treasures.
Akɔ was born there, in the streets of Lomé, between a workshop vibrant with life and the song of wax fabrics.
It is the result of simple gestures and passed down know-how.
It carries within it the story of a place, of a way of being, of a return to the source.
